Well thanksgiving is approaching as our U.S friends here at GO! Smell the flowers give thanks for not being British and suffering our constant sarcasm and jibes, right?

Any thanksgiving stories welcomed here! We do wonder, what DO veggies eat on the big day?

Arvind here, with your Friday fun post.
If you are eating, finish first before you turn up your sound and click on this video clip.
Be sure to read the subtitles.
(Note the subtitles describing the sound during her moment of glory!)
What is your worst ever tale of emulating her?!
Have you ever suffered from nerves? Stage fright?
Do share…

Mike here again.
I notice that water was a theme for last week, so I thought I’d finish of the thread with this.
It’s available on ebay and is the latest must have present. Order now for Christmas!

Cheers! and O question …
What’s the most useless present you have ever received?

Hi there, Diane here. I’m rubbish in the kitchen. I can do run of the mill everyday cooking but anything more ambitious and I’m hopeless. I slavishly follow recipes, getting increasingly stressed and then get the timing all wrong and half of the meal is cold and the other half is over cooked. I envy people who can look into an empty store cupboard - and then whip up a three course dinner, seemingly out of thin air.
How about you? Kitchen god/goddess? Or is the nearest take away, number 1 on your phone’s speed dial buttons? What is your party piece?

Keeping in the spirit of a healthy lifestyle.
I posted on Little Aussie Cynic in July For those trying to lose a few kilos.
I thought maybe it would be fun to get some thoughts from the Flowers gang.

This would have to be marketing gone mad dont you think…
Can anyone else so a problem here?

Do you Detox?
Do you cleanse your liver?
And do buy into the whole new age internal body Cleansing program…
Gary in a comment to Jim and Em post Have you ever gone Vegan…. Stated “As is detoxing in general- you have your liver and kidneys to do that and they do it far better than ingesting some hawthorn extract ever could.”
I tend to think putting more chemicals into my system is just silly….. When fruit, veges, herbs and spices can do the same thing if eaten regularly….
So do you detox with or with out help?

So do they just hate plants?
Vegans eat only plant products, choosing not to eat animal products including any kind of dairy product. There are very few people currently living the Vegan lifestyle, perhaps because its a difficult diet to keep up or hard to come up with a lot of good vegetarian recipes that provide us with much needed nutrients. There’s a tasty recipe for a Green Smoothie at The Raw and the Cooked that can make a ‘vegan treat’. Hmmmm.
Have you ever tried an unusual diet? As our regulars know us flowers tried our hand at colonic irrigation as part of a 10 day fast.

We can remember a few ruckus parties from our younger days…and maybe a few from later on. Certainly they are great fun, letting friends get reacquainted and let off a little steam. They can also get a little out of hand…as happened with our fellow blogger at her blog, The Atheists Down the Street when someone tried to give her and her future husband a pee hug. If you want to know what that is you’ll really have to read the blog post.

Above is a party that definitely got out of hand. Do share any that you have witnessed!

If you want to know the science and recent politics behind making the world a better place by reducing pollution we suggest you follow the link to Chemistry for a Sustainable World and get reading. Maybe we can also encourage our fellow blogger to pick out a new more unique blog layout from his Wordpress selections?

Do we know non-polluting ways to relax and enjoy ourselves?

Hmmm, we’ve heard about language deconstruction but reverse engineering of your dumpling sauce is a new one on us! Our fellow blogger at Food Mayhem has recently discussed how to deconstruct the flavors in your favorite grocery and restaurant sauces to recreate them on your own at home.

It must take a really fine sense of taste to figure out all of the proper ingredients?
