Go! Smell the excuse!

August 28th, 2008 by Purple13

A friend looks over at his work colleague and notices he’s wearing an earring. Nothing strange in that you may think but this chap was always a very conservative dresser. (that’s not a set of drawers painted blue!).

SO his friend asks him “how long have you been wearing an earring?”.

“Oh its nothing says his friend quietly - pay it no mind”

However his friend is intrigued to know - this guy was always so straight so he leans closer and asks “seriously, how long have you been wearing an earring?”.

His friend sighs, puts down his work and turns to his friend and mutters quietly…. “since my wife found one in the glovebox of my car”.

We’re all guilty of pressing a friend for info when they didn’t really want to share i’m sure. What have you pressed and pressed to find out only to wish you hadn’t? Do tell….

I am sure that I will never force someone to tell me something that the someone doesn’t want to share.

Er… I’m not sure I get this Joe. Do you mean the earring belonged to another woman?? As in, he was cheating on his wife with her?? Why, if that’s so, he is a lucky fella to get away with only having to wear it ha!

If I were the wife, I would cut him OUT. That’s not cut his ear out, that’s cut him out of my life. Any woman who can take my man away from me can keep him. I would not want him anymore. And he (or she, ha!) can keep the earring and the car too.

To actually answer the question Joe (!), Bridget doesn’t usually press people to tell if they don’t wanna share - her detractors say it’s because she’s too involved with herself ha! ;)

I usually am pretty respectful of people’s boundaries with stuff like this, so I don’t press. The other thing is that working in the field that I have been…nothing really shocks me anymore. Press me when I don’t want to reveal something, I become hostile…yep!!

I dont have that problem……

I am a problem solver or at least hubby says so….

People tell me their problems..

I tell everyone else…

There is no longer a problem…

Problem solved..

‘we have solutions - not problems’ - it’s beginning to sound like Fantasy Island around here.
