Go! Smell The Illusionist!

I love to watch TV when I get a chance. It doesn’t happen very often though. I end up recording the shows I like and watching them later. That way I can fast forward through commercials. One of my all time favorite shows is Mindfreak. It stars the illusionist Criss Angel. I was disappointed at the beginning of his new season because his ‘demonstrations’ weren’t really mindfreaky like they usually are. (He is in the middle of working on his own Cirque du Soleil show, so I’m thinking he’s thinking more about that then his show.)

I have to say though that this demonstration he did in this video freaked my mind. (Viewer discretion might be advised…)  I think I almost passed out watching it. I haven’t felt that way before! There are skeptics that say that the guy that worked with Criss was an actor and an amputee…blah blah blah. But, I think the way to watch it is to relax and believe.

What should you believe but just can’t?

I had never watched MindFreak before, and decided to sit my 5 and 7 year olds down to watch it with me.

He immediately had Carrot Top chop his finger off while he ran around swearing.

    Family fun.

I’m expecting my “Father of the Year” award any day now.

I like Criss but this was a bit much…I don’t know what to believe. Why would he cut a guys arm off? I usually like all of his exhibit of mind freakery ..(is that a word?) but this I think is just his version of one of the cut/slash/hack horror movies.

Let’s see what should I believe but just can’t……I should believe that every story in the Bible is literal but I found myself looking at quite a few of the stories as being figurative…parables I guess you could say.

  4. That was really freaky, but I knew it wasn’t real. I turned my head away when I saw what was going to happen. I don’t like things like that.

In answer to your question, I need to believe and hang on to the positive things that people say about me. It is so difficult and contrary to what I’ve believed most of my life, but I am getting much better at it. :-)
