How do you….

In terms of your mental clarity and your eyesight.

Do tell but stop squinting.

I find the best way to focus is to go out on a little rowing boat into the middle of a lake and perform some random karate type balances on the boat with the japanese bonsai loving caretaker at the apartment block where I live with my mother. I will fall off a few times no doubt but eventually I will be focused.

I will supplement this with some household tasks- putting a shine on wooden floors, painting fences and cleaning cars.

It is this focus that I believe led to me successfully defeating my arch nemesis in the sun valley karate tournament using a highly unlikely and easily telegraphed crane move despite having a very sore leg.

never thought about it Lib

the other thing that made me focus was when I then, went to Okinawa with the said Japanese caretaker bloke. anyway his brother and him fell out years back over a bird and when we reached okinawa it all kicked off- his bro is some charlie big spuds on the karate circuit.

Luckily all got sorted when during a big storm a tree fell over and my mate saved a load of people. Must admit though his brother had a right nasty lad with him who wanted a scrap. I was going to jib it but he wouldn’t take no for an answer. So I weighed him in. Lot of focus needed.

Focus? Mental clarity (before depression) was easy especially when I would be interested in what I was doing. Now, sheesh!!! Eyesight…I’m in my 40s and I’m really getting that longer arm syndrome. “It is too close, I can’t focus.” I like becoming older, but it is the body aging that I don’t like!!!

Focus? Of course. Always.

This morning Bridget wanted to wear some jeans to work seeing it’s Thursday and all, but then came across a sexy little skirt that she hadn’t worn in a while, it was just next to some short shorts which she’s planning to go beaching in this week-end.. Hey, did you guys notice how hot it is at the moment? Just the other day a mate was telling me you could fry an egg outside, it’s so hot, oh which reminds me, I really wanna go for a steak on Saturday, did anyone try the new steakhouse in town? Hey but I must see first which beach I wanna hit, where do all the cute guys go, anyone? Hmmm I’ll think about it on my way to work.

See, first line and last line have the word ‘work’. Give me better focus than that ha! ;)

The weather is quite warm at the moment. I always find its an ideal time to view the arts. to undertake cultural experiences.

so I will recline over the weekend with a bottle or two of wine and peruse the fantastic abilities of the ‘exotic’ dancing skill of the friendly girls at spearmint rhino. Exotica- lovely!

I often have he capacity to get lost in the framework of my mind……one thing distracting me from the next. Although there are many different techniques listed above, for myself in moments of absolute mental insanity I do my best to stop whatever I am doing at consciously seek out every color of the rainbow. It often allows me to come back into the present moment and out of my head which I can easily get lost within
