Go! Dance Like No One Is Watching

Where the Hell is Matt? (2008) from Matthew Harding on Vimeo.
I was going to rant and rave about the latest updates in the abode of this Blue Collar Goddess, but I shall not because I don’t feel like fielding the comments from a certain sector *cough* Urban *cough* of the garden row I inhabit at the moment.
Right.
I’m feeling weak in the knees, and my capacity to sustain the BS flying at me from all angles must be relegated to where I can make the most of whatever strength I have left. My home.
That being said, I tossed out my entire blah-g entry this morning in favor of a link that may or may not have been shared here in the past. Considering our various spots on this planet, I’d like to suggest that when we all do have the chance to “get together” ( I can has passport? CAN! ) we do the “Matt Dance” post it on the web and proclaim ourselves the next officially sponsored group of global dancers in the name of … of …
What the hell does Matt dance for?
What would you dance for? And … hey. Don’t forget to just, dance.

Hi Blue Collar,
Hope all is well with your bizzie bizzie times in life and thanks for taking 5 to have a smell.
The Urban one, hmmm - well we’ve headed his advice and removed the ‘thorns’ contest from flowers as all it was doing was encouraging a divide. As we head towards a community of well being and inspiration Urban can inspire others to keep posting and keep commenting - we’re sure of it but we need to try and make newbies feel welcome as we prepare to go viral…it’s a balance….
The Matt dance is a great idea - very group hug like and we need no excuses to roll about for a while, wherever we are. We’re working on stalking Dubai based airlines to bring us all together in 2010 - sponsored of course, a ‘bunch’ of flowers with minimal carbon footprint!
We tried Salsa (the dance and the sauce) in Cuba and Jim is known to breakdance after a beer or 2.
I’m one of those chair dancing types - you see them at the discos - tapping and moving every part of their bodies from the safety of a chair. a few dutch courages later and they’re the ones careening around the dance floor - pretty dancers and kids beware - this is dad dancing.
Group timewarp anyone?

Okay, I like dancing, but don’t know how to do anything formal. However, my husband doesn’t like to and my body may never feel the same again. In my early to mid 20s, I used to go out on a fairly regular basis to clubs for dancing. Now, it is reserved for housework and generally goofing around. Sometimes, at weddings, I’ll get to. But, I’m in that age group where we go to 2nd or 3rd weddings where there usually isn’t dancing and kids stuff. Oh, I’ll dance with the kids. But, some of them are approaching graduating from college…where did the years go?
