Go See Nature at her Finest!

April 26th, 2008 by A/C

These were just sent to me… and for something completely out of left field. Here is a little inspiration from Nature herself.

wave.jpg

So what is this so special about this Ice?
The water froze the instant the wave broke through the ice. That’s what it is like in Antarctica where it is the coldest weather in decades. Water freezes the instant it comes in contact with the air. The temperature of the water is already some degrees below freezing point.Just look at how the wave froze in mid-air!!!

There are more images over at Aussie click the link its hiding….

What is the most amazing natural event you have seen recently?

Ok cool well do send her love from us all…

Anyway back to your photo - a wonderful photo…this restores our faith in the hyperbole of global warming, right?

Imagine hitting the surf as it melted - right in the middle of the tube?

WOW 8-)

I thought to myself imagine seeing it actually freeze… running for the hills so to say and then it just stops frozen in time.

This is the most amazing natural event I’ve seen most recently!

Waves freezing mid-air?

Defies my sense of gravity!

Nature seems to be standing tall, @ her finest, like nature is awaiting her being the lens rather than that frozoen wave!

Can this kind of trip be taken out privately?

I meant - how on earth, and from where on earth, does one arrange such trips down to Antarctica from Dubai?

You can fly to Antarctica from Hobart Airport.
It takes about 1 and half hours. They recent built an ice Landing strip. Seriously.
Not sure if they open for tourist flights but the last I hear they were talking about it. If you want to go there you should contact an Australian Tourism Mob and they can tell you. But it is only and hour and half away and today dont we know it…

Wow! Too cold for my liking but nonetheless a dream destination to pursue for many. Can imagine it’s so beautiful. Imagine telling the kids “you know the continent in the world that is split up between several countries but noone actually lives there? Well - Mummy has set foot on that continent!” LOL

It would even better if it was still there… ;)

Wow. In today’s society of disposable hyperbole, here is something actually worthy of the description, awesome.

Wow! - surf’s up guys.

Don’t know why but it just reminded me of Ice Age for some reason - the little squirrel character and that nut at the beginning - V funny.

WOW!! This is awesome Aussie. So cold it freezes as it hits the air… brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr… too cold for my liking. I have some friends who have been to Antarctica and they say it is the most beautiful place… somehow, it’s not on my list of places to visit… the tropics are more my style ;)
