Go! write your life story in 6 words

Posted on March 11th, 2008 by expatinspirer

Well, everyone. I am back. I’ve been to the Families in Global Transition conference in Houston and had a wonderful time among friends old and and new, learned a lot, laughed a lot and drank too many margaritas. I was inspired by one of my fellow speakers, Apple Gidley, who suggested we might write our life stories (bear it in mind that those who attended FIGT were ‘global nomads’ like me) in six words. She gave the examples of:

Roast beef to barbecue via noodles

For sale baby shoes never worn

I guess mine might be:

lakes to canals via sand dunes

what would yours be?

    • Elton John - Drama Queen says:

I sang at her funeral, me.

I was ace I was, even the Queen came up to me after an says, “Ere Elt, that were brilliant wot you just sung fer us it were, listen see we is avin right posh do next week right, an me an Phil reckon you’re just about the best person to show us how to lay the tables proper. See we’ve got some right fancy top nobs and nancies comin over, an I just get fed up of them sorts taking p!5s out of us fer gettin it all the wrong way round like.”

See she’s only human she is.

      • Bridget Jones says:

        LOL!

But hey, isn’t David a big part of your life EJ? And you left him out of your 6-word life story!

He’s gonna be heart-broken David is! Already he ain’t talking to you he ain’t (remember? you made him banana-less!). Do something EJ, review your line!! 8)

        • Elton John - Drama Queen says:

You knows what Aunty Bridget, he’s still not talking to me he isn’t! I even went out and bought im a new banana I did an he says that its just not the same as is little orphaned Melvin (the baby banana).

Well I reckon he’s behavin like right poofter I do, it’s not that I’m unsympathetic, but I was proper hungry see, an if he’s not careful I’m gonna end up scoffin is other banana too!

          • Bridget Jones says:

I agree with you EJ. David should be happy you ate his orphaned banana! Doesn’t he know that the way to a man’s heart is thru his stomach?! 8)

That’s the very reason why Bridget is still on the shelf EJ ha! ;)

          • David Furnish - Drama Princess says:

Aunty Bridget! You ought to to tell im off you ought too! Scoffed my Melvin he did, poor defenceless little orphan an all!

After all wot I’ve done for Elt an all. See if it weren’t for me that Elton bloomin John would still be playin is piano and singin is songs for just a fiver a night in some rubbish pub. It were me what got im the big gigs, playin in hotel foyers and at weddins and all.

Takes ome an average of 50 to 60 quid night now he does, all thanks to me an my negotiatin skills. Still we does enjoy all that lovely dosh tho. He’s not a bad egg, just gets me right frustrated sometimes see.

I might feed im my banana just to make up.

I’ve got a new moped an sidecar, appen we’ll go for a romantic weekend camping in it.
