GO! Smoke the camels?

March 8th, 2008 by Jim

We had to bring this to GO! Smoke the flowers after the delectable Sylvia over at her Sexy print ads blog posted it in a discussion thread over at blogcatalog:

Although we’re surrounded by camels here in Dubai we didn’t expect Doctors to endorse smoking them! Whatever next - do share you official and unofficial prescriptive tales here and say ‘Aaaaah’.

Come on, get amongst it, it won’t hurt a bit! Maybe if smoking relaxes you then maybe there are health benefits afterall? NEXT!

Hi ther Jim and Emma
Trivia time did you know that we have more camels in australia than you lot over in saudi…..
the explorers used them instead of horses because of the desert and let them go rather than bring them back again… and they bred and bred… and we even have camel races and yes you can bet on them….heheheheh

when I started smoking you could buy camel brand and i swear they are what a smoked camel would taste like… crappy…..
The unfortunate part to smoking is that they actually dont relax you something to do with the chemicals the tabbacco companies put in them… However a recent study in Denmark over 16 years I think it was showed the following results:
Women who give up smoking have the bodies and lung repaired to before smoking health within 3 years and lived no less then 2 years less
Women continued to smoke had 30% change of living less
Women who constantly failed to give up and stressed trying to quit had a 56% chance of living less
and those who didnt bother about the stats had a 10% of living less….

Food for thought and those who smoked roll your own tobacco lived longer and in better health then those who smoked the ready made… in the tobacco there are none of the chemicals to make them stay burning like gunpowder…
and dont anyone give me a hard time because I smoke because you will only stress me and cause me to try and quit again and therefore shorten my already declining life expentancy…. so shhhhhhhh…..

Interesting AC and we’re in Dubai, not Saudi - still Middle East but a few differences such as non married couples allowed to be seen in public together, women allowed to drive and alcohol permitted in hotel bars…..

Do a little hacking and coughing in front of them. Perhaps cough up your left lung?

My eldest Smokes, the second tried it but found himself allergic not a bad thing in this case…
The others hate it and moppet hids them…. I just tell them its a horrid thing and they see me trying to quit and I tell them the easiest way to quit is not to start… that seems to work…..

Hi all, it is so nice to part of the Smell here!

It is so amazing how times have changed, could you imagine this commercial being updated
and aired on national television today?

I quit smoking about 5 years ago, glad I did, but wowzers do I ever get cravings still!

I went clubbing in London last night after a long time - and it was great that there was no smoking inside :-)

Most smokers are aware of all the dangers of smoking and if they are really honest, they do want to give up…

That’s wild! I remember going to the doctor as a child and he would smoke during the examination. When I started Nursing school….er nevermind, age must be showing here.
